Emergency & Rescue
Buying guide
Rescue equipment allows trained teams to move injured or trapped people safely. Selection depends on the rescue scenarios in your emergency plan, including confined spaces and work at height.
Basket stretchers suit rope and helicopter rescue; scoop stretchers and spine boards suit casualty handling; roll-up stretchers suit confined spaces. Check EN 1865-1 compliance.
Tripods, winches (EN 1496) and descenders (EN 341) are needed for vertical rescue from manholes and tanks.
Evacuation chairs help mobility-impaired people use stairs during evacuation.
Store equipment out of direct sun to protect plastics and webbing.
Rescue teams must be trained and practise regularly.
